I am a 40 something year old Aussie guy. I am a graphic designer and desktop publisher and i run a small homebased buisness in said industry. I have always been an artist and have earned a living doing art of one sort or another most of my adult life, airbrushing cars, trucks, bikes, helmets etc. I also worked as a tattooist for some years during my more "colourful" 20's.
I first came into contact with Regents way back in 2007, through my love of choppers, both building and riding them, and on my fave sim which was (and still is) MotorWorld, one of the main sims in the Regents group of "Route 66 Biker " sims. This is where i got to know Motor Loon, the man i thought was the owner and boss of MotorWorld - lol, hindsight huh? We weren't "mates" as such, but we got along great and always had great chats about the bikes we were either riding at the time or building at the time, a mutual respect if you will. Having spent most of my time in Second Life at MotorWorld either testing a new bike i was building/scripting, riding one i had finished (or even riding one of the great MLCC bikes-many of which i own) or just plain hanging out and socializing with any of the great people i met, and subsequently became close friends with. Two of whom are Greywolf Moonlight and his lovely now wife MissMissy Moonbeam :-)
I guess my love of MotorWorld and the desire to see it remain griefer free and a sweet place to ride and hang out was the catalyst for my attitude of helping out and being hospitible towards everyone i came into contact with there and my friendly and helpful nature didn't go unnoticed and i was soon approached to take a job there as security, the rest as they say is history.
Well since those early days, i have seen MotorWorld turn into just a small part of, instead of the main part of (for me anyways) what we all now know and love as "Regent Estates". So having come into the Regents family via Motor, Greywolf and the biker world, i thought that Second Life revolved around MotorWorld and the MLCC group, when infact it was actually MotorWorld and MLCC that revolved around Regent Estates. Regent Estates has grown to include many sims and of differing types, styles and builds. The staff here have become more than workmates, it is in fact a family, a family of misfits, but a warm, friendly family none the less.
I am glad to be a part of such a wonderful and inspiring bunch of misfits.
See you on the sims !
